Certified SolidWorks Certifications
Isaac Grahl and Hunter Jandre passed the Certified SolidWorks Professional Exam exam during the second semester of the school year. The CSWP is a three hour and 20 minute advanced mechanical design exam that focuses on three main design areas: advanced assemblies and property analysis, configurations and feature modifications, and advanced part design and geometry modifications. To reach the skill level required to pass the CSWP exam takes most professional Designers and Engineers several years to accomplish. Isaac and Hunter both accomplished this goal their Junior year at Campbellsport High School.
The following students (Braydon Hottenstein, Matthew Schrauth, Kegan Bartell, Amber Kutsche, Joesph Krahn, Trevor Engel, Chris Zimdahl, and Kallen Ferguson) passed the SolidWorks Certified Associates Exam (CSWA) during the second semester of the school year. The CSWA exam is a three hour industry benchmark exam that tests students ability to create and draw 3D solid models of parts, work with advanced geometric construction techniques, and complete and evaluate complex assemblies. Passing this exam is part of many post secondary Design and Engineering programs.

The Project Grill Team participated participated in the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce Unveiling Event at Festival Foods on Friday, May 11. Their grill featured a farm theme that included a barn as a grill/prep area, harvest-ore silo as a meat smoker, grain bin as a beverage dispenser, and a lean-to that was used for storage and a cooler. Although our grill did not win Best in Show, they fabricated an excellent product. The team was partnered with Agromatic of Fond du Lac, which provided them with fabrication advice and paint.
The team would also like to thank Vinny Egle for his help in the fabrication process also. The grill is being donated to the Campbellsport True Value where it can be viewed by the public. It will also be showcased at Main Street Mania this summer .
Congratulations to our 2018 Project Grill team.

CMS Students Participate in Science Olympiad State Tournament
Science Olympiad Div B team claims victory at the state tournament. It was only the second time CMS has ever competed in the Science Olympiad state tournament.
Science Olympiad is a national STEM competition that requires knowledge of science topics and engineering skills. It captures the kind of interest, enthusiasm, and commitment of science that is typical of an athletic team. The program is designed to increase student interest and test scores in science, while strengthening problem solving and teamwork skills.
High school science teacher and coach, Thomas Lengyel, elucidates, “These young brains get the opportunity to use creative problem solving to find solutions preparing them for careers in the STEM fields including manufacturing and engineering.” The coaches are very proud of all their hard work and success.
The team competed against 57 middle schools statewide.
In “Ecology,” 9th graders Linnea Teske and Simon Strupp medalled 5th and in “Density Lab,” 8th graders Kilian Poquette and Nathan Seefeld medalled 6th.
The Campbellsport Middle School Science Olympiad team competed in the Wisconsin Science Olympiad State Tournament at UW-Milwaukee on Saturday, April 7th. They placed 13th overall, with 57 teams from across the state competing. The group of 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students worked extremely hard in 23 events and showed great perseverance. They were able to have a lot of fun at the tournament while enhancing their science knowledge and developing their collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
