The middle school choirs had their dress rehearsal and t-shirt making party on Saturday. They have been working extremely hard to be ready for their performance of Sleepy Hollow, on Wednesday night (March 13) at 7 PM.
Our high school choir took their state contest music to the middle school and elementary school classrooms. They wanted to work on singing with an independent solo sound, balance, and share their music with younger students. In their small groups, they sang three pieces, "Wade in the Water," "Sure on this Shining Night," and a fun song of their choosing.
Earlier in the third quarter our middle school team sports classes participated in a flag football unit, and they did an incredible job! Mr. Merkes was so impressed that he took pictures of the teams. Shown here are some 6th graders that displayed amazing teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the games. Nice job 6th grade!"
CHS students competed at the All-Conference Academic Bowl on March 4. Students took tests of their knowledge in math, science, English, and social studies and current events.

On Tuesday, March 5th, 11 choir members participated in the Ripon College Choir Festival. They sang 4 pieces as a mass choir of 177 students from 10 area high schools. After a day of working with the college's director, they performed the pieces in a public concert.

The Campbellsport Forensics Team recently traveled to Germantown High School and performed three times in front of three different judges to earn 16 points out of 25 in each round. The Forensics coaches would like to congratulate the entire 2024 Forensics Team as they earned the opportunity to advance to the District Competition at Neenah High School on March 11.

7th grade student geologists played the role of different rock materials experiencing the rock cycle to investigate the transformations that rocks go through over time.
The best education happens when the lessons are authentic. The Adobe students today are working for a local nonprofit to help with some logo work. What a wonderful opportunity for the nonprofit and the students!
Students in Mrs. Writt’s geography class have been studying environmental issues of Europe, including the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
It’s spring time in the agriculture department!! The advanced plant science and plant science classes have been busy transplanting the plugs today. Students will continue to nurture these plants over the next few months to prepare them for the upcoming plant sale.
Sixth grade students were excited to start learning about JA Biztown last week! In May, students will have the opportunity to apply for a job, run their own businesses, operate banks, write checks, and vote. JA BizTown, a Junior Achievement program, combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to the JA BizTown facility – a fully interactive, simulated town. JA BizTown encompasses essential elements of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
This week the Earth Science classes are building structures out of spaghetti noodles, marshmallows, and tape. These structures have to be resistant to earthquake-like shaking and hold an egg 40cm off the ground. They have made some incredible designs with some trial and error!
In celebration of the upcoming Random Acts of Kindness week, sixth grade students created "water bottle stickers" that spread kind messages and quotes. "Kindness Fills Our Cups" covers the wall entering the pod; the positive messages are a great way to start the day!

The Scholastic Art Awards program is the nation’s most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. A scholastic art award is considered a symbol of excellence in the visual arts. Both students will be recognized at an awards ceremony at the Milwaukee Art Museum on March 2nd.

All middle school classes learn about Art History in timeline order. The 6th grade starts with the Artwork of Ancient Greece and Rome, 7th grade at Impressionism, and 8th grade ends on Modern Art. Each year students learn roughly 30 Artworks by title, artist, and style.
This wonderful class of 6th graders chose to have their picture taken with the romantic work "A Village Bullfight" by Francisco de Goya.
Last night the Campbellsport FFA competed in the district leadership development events. These individuals have worked hard over the last couple months to prepare for their contests. McKinley Krueger placed second Extemporaneous Speaking and will advance to sectionals. She also competed Discussion Meet and placed 3rd overall. Kaydence Hodorff placed 3rd in Employability Skills! Brooklyn Krueger memorized the FFA Creed and represented the Campbellsport chapter well! Congratulations to our competitors!
