This week Rebecca Cole who works in the CES library did a "Book Tasting" with her 4th and 5th graders. A "book tasting" is an activity where students are asked to "sample" a variety of books by reading a few pages, similar to tasting different foods at a buffet, to discover new titles and genres that might interest them. Rebecca set up different tables featuring various genres or themes, allowing students to rotate and explore different books. Students were allowed to check out all of the books that interested them. Every student in each class found books they were interested in checking out and reading.

Campbellsport Elementary School will be hosting a Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11 at 8:30 am. The program is open to Veterans and their families. It will take place in the gym and last approximately one hour. We would like to thank our Veterans for their service to our country and for protecting our freedom.

Thank you to @Heartfelt Flowers and Gift Shop in Lomira! You put smiles on many peoples faces today with "Petal it Forward".
In partnership with the Society Of American Florists (SAF), of which Heartfelt is joining dozens of florist across the country in Petal it Forward. This random act of kindness is in response to the release of data by SAF showing the positive emotional benefits of flowers. "Receiving flowers is a pleasure, but it is even more fulfilling to give them!" Heartfelt gave each smiling person two bouquets, one to keep and the other one for them to give to another.
Come watch an amazing performance of The Pied Piper put on by Campbellsport Elementary students on October 18, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. and October 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. The performances will be held in the Lang Auditorium of the Campbellsport High School. Tickets are available at the Campbellsport Elementary School or National Exchange Bank (tickets will also be available at the door). Adult tickets are $10, children 12 and under are $5.
On October 2, 2024, our Campbellsport School District staff attended the UW-Whitewater Career Fair. This event is for UW-Whitewater students who are looking for internships or full-time degree-required jobs.

Congratulations to the Campbellsport Elementary students who were cast in the Missoula Children's Theater (MCT) production of "Blackbeard the Pirate!" They had an awesome show tonight! Thank you also to the CES PTO for bringing MCT to our school once again. If you weren't able to come out to the show tonight, we have one more performance tomorrow Saturday, October 21st at 1:30 p.m. at the Campbellsport High School Auditorium. Hope to see you there!

This week gives us an opportunity to recognize and express our gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our outstanding educators. Today CES Student Council was able to deliver the $2000 to Children’s Hospital that was raised by our March Madness Teacher fundraiser. While we were there they asked if we wanted to donate the money to a specific cause. The students decided to donate it to the Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) cause to support our own CES student Bella Forcier. Thank you CES families for the wonderful support!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Celebrate CES night to see all the amazing things our staff and students have been doing here at Campbellsport Elementary School. We had an incredible turnout! The wax museum, projects, and stations were absolutely wonderful! A special thank you to the CES PTO for funding the Mad Science stations. They were a great addition to the event! A huge shout out to all the staff for all their hard work and help in making our evening such a huge success! We couldn't do it without each and every one of you! It is so great to have such an amazing school community!
