For the last six years, the Campbellsport Art Club has been working with Memory Project to bring joy to children across the world, and they are back at it again this year with help from Campbellsport’s Spanish Club. Memory Project allows students to create portraits and identity art for children in other countries. In the past they have done the countries of Haiti, Ukraine, Nigeria, and Pakistan. This year the Spanish and Art Club chose to participate in creating artwork for children in Colombia. Colombia has an ongoing civil war within the country that has been ongoing for decades and the country faces extreme poverty that leaves many to suffer. For those reasons, the Campbellsport Art and Spanish Club wanted to help put a smile on the faces of these young Colombian children. With the help of students, over 30 pieces of art were created for the kids in Colombia.
