In Sra. Skelton's Spanish classes, you can often find students playing games! Using games in the classroom helps our students practice vocabulary in a high-energy, low-stress environment. These activities build confidence and fluency while keeping everyone on their toes.

Our 7th graders crunched the numbers today as they analyzed real scores and statistics from the Super Bowl teams playing this Sunday. They found out that the data shows this could be a very close game, with both teams posting similar regular-season stats. Based on the numbers alone, some students think New England may have a slight edge. We’ll see what game day brings!

Mrs. Poquette’s 8th grade science class is diving into the history of atomic models to discover how scientists built our modern understanding of the atom — and how that knowledge helps explain chemical reactions today! ⚛️

We’ve been talking about the idea of “standing on the shoulders of giants” — how each discovery builds on the work of scientists before us. From early theories to today’s atomic model, it’s amazing to see how science grows over time through curiosity, evidence, and perseverance!

Learning science isn’t just about facts — it’s about the journey of discovery!

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the largest annual art competition in the United States, and this year, hundreds of student artists representing Wisconsin schools submitted works of art to be judged by professional artists and educators.

Campbellsport High School art students Jaedyn Burns and Alyssa Downham were both selected as 2026 Scholastic Gold Key winners, which is the highest rating and both will move on to compete at the National level! An exhibit of the winning works will be on display at the Milwaukee Art Museum January 31st - March 15th.

Congratulations to Jaedyn and Alyssa for these awards. Both students will be recognized at the Wisconsin Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony on Saturday February 7th at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Students in the 6th grade STEM class had a challenge this week to build a base that would support some weight. Students were paired up and given 5 sheets of paper ( 1 construction, 2 card stock, and 2 basic printer paper) and had to design something to hold weight at a height greater than 1 inch from the table. Wood was placed on top of the paper to support the text books. The winning team ended up with a structure that held 35 textbooks before collapsing.
