Note to Campbellsport Parents and Students: April 5, 2021
As you probably have heard the Wisconsin Supreme Court later last week invalidated Governor Ever’s Emergency Public Health Declaration and the statewide mask mandate. The Court did allow for local governments, schools and businesses to create or have their own mask requirements. The Campbellsport School District Board of Education as part of the Return to School Plan put in place a mask requirement in place for the 2020-21 school year . This District requirement is still in effect regardless of the Court's ruling, inside all school buildings and at school events that are held outside when proper distancing can not be maintained.
Masking is part of the mitigation strategies that we have implemented this year that have allowed us to have year long face to face instruction at the Elementary and Middle School levels. We will continue to distance as best we can and practice good hygiene such as proper hand washing or using sanitizers. Please keep monitoring your student’s health symptoms and if they are symptomatic have them stay home.
Thank you for following this request so we can finish the last eight (8) weeks of school with good attendance. We are looking forward to next year when requirements like this will not be the expectation but for those rare exceptions.
