Wisconsin is known as "America's Dairyland" and "The Dairy State". We celebrate June Dairy Month to honor the state's rich dairy farming history and the significant contributions of the dairy industry to the state's economy and culture. Wisconsin is the leading cheese and a top milk producer in the United States. Fond du lac County is among the top dairy producing counties in the state and nation. Agriculture and dairy are key industries in our area. Local farms, food processors, and ag-related businesses generate thousands of jobs and millions of dollars of economic activity. Initially established in 1937 to promote milk consumption, June Dairy Month has evolved into a tradition celebrating the hard work, dedication, and contributions of our dairy farmers.

June is Dairy Month!
