Retired Campbellsport School District Teacher and Coach Mark Peterson was inducted into the Campbellsport High School Hall of Fame and recognized at last night's wrestling dual meet vs. Lomira. And what a night of celebration it was with our undefeated Cougars out wrestling Lomira to a 32 - 31 victory!
Mark Peterson coached wrestling at CHS for 31 years and racked up a 306-119-1 dual meet record. Coach P has been a positive role model for our students for over 30 years. His dedication to and impact on our youth is appreciated and respected by all. Other accomplishments include:
- 14 Conference Championships
- 12 Regional Championships
- 4 Team State Qualifiers
- 81 Individual State Qualifiers & 10 Individual State Champions
- Inducted into the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches of Hall of Fame in 2022
- Coached football, track and girls' soccer
- Started the 5th & 6th grade tackle football program
- Annually ran Coach P's Wrestling Clinic for youth wrestlers
- Wrote Coach P's Corner for the Campbellsport News (16 years)
- Four-year wrestler at UW-Oshkosh
- Founder of the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame
