Campbellsport Parents and Students, November 24
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Even through this health crisis in our country, we can find many things for which to be THANKFUL. Among those things besides material things, I am appreciative of the freedoms we all have, memories and experiences with family or friends, and this community for fighting through tough times to come out stronger and wiser. Even though the decision for next week has been made to be in eLearning from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, I wanted to share with you the numbers for us today. (Please note table above)
Week of Nov. 30 - Dec. 4 All levels of the Campbellsport School District will be eLearning this week. Principals and teachers have sent out information about their building/classrooms’ learning plans. All students in grades 2 - 12 have either their own device or have checked out a Chromebook. Those students with internet access issues have checked out a ‘hotspot’ by which they can connect. Besides these actions the District will have Learning-Tech Centers open Monday thru Saturday from 10am-6pm. There are two locations, one at the MS-HS Cafeteria and the other at Eden Elementary Music Room (enter by the gym). These spaces are monitored by the District’s Paraprofessionals (Instructional Aides) and are for students to access eLearning as needed and/or get additional assistance. Mask wearing and social distancing will be strictly maintained.
We are planning on returning to the buildings in our current learning system. Then, we hopefully will get in just over two weeks before the Christmas break dependent on staffing and student health data. In closing, thanks much to you and the school staff for being supportive and firm in our combined desire to keep the students in school.
Have a good T-Day Break!!
