MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Campbellsport School District is to develop each child into an adult who can stand confidently, participate fully, learn continually, and contribute meaningfully to our world.

VISION STATEMENT

The Campbellsport School District strives to create a safe and respectful school community where collaboration and professionalism promote the development of an inquisitive student body engaged in a challenging, dynamic curriculum enhanced by meaningful technology.

MULTI-YEAR STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

2007-2013

  1. Implement a systemic process for decision-making and goal-setting geared towards meeting the vision of creating a safe and respectful school community where collaboration and professionalism promote the development of an inquisitive student body engaged in a challenging, dynamic curriculum enhanced by meaningful technology.
  2. All teachers utilize and follow a district-approved curriculum and supporting technology to ensure student learning.
  3. Teachers are regularly implementing instructional strategies that represent “best practices” in teaching. All teachers are proficient in the use of technology available in the district.
  4. All assessment practices promote student learning using common assessments.
  5. Staff works collaboratively in every school building.

DISTRICT GOALS

2012-2013

The District will:
  1. Complete the development of a curriculum that supports the Common Core Standards or other designated standards to ensure student learning.
  2. All teachers will ensure student growth by utilizing enhanced instructional strategies and varied assessment practices through action plans.
  3. The District will improve achievement in reading by closing gaps for those students not reading at grade level.

BOARD GOALS

2012-2013

The Board of Education will:
  1. Communicate, promote and actively solicit community engagement in all Campbellsport School District schools.
  2. Continue development of short term elementary plan and District wide long term facilities plan.
  3. Support initiatives driven by student achievement results.
  4. Support expanded opportunities for students to prepare for a range of collegiate and career choices including trades and two-year degree programs.

Board Goals

2013-2014

The Board of Education will:

  1. Evaluate, select and contract with the candidate that is the best match for the superintendent profile as developed by the staff and community focus groups.
  2. Continue development of the long range facilities plan and communicate the prioritization of needs via Round II of the community group meetings.
  3. Develop a comprehensive set of performance metrics to insure we maintain comparative performance levels as we develop a detailed marketing plan to increase district enrollment and positively affect open enrollment.
  4. Assess and define Board of Education and Administrative roles to best position the District for future challenges to the Board, Administration and District.

 

Board Goals

2014-2015

 

The Board of Education will:

  1. Continue facility building needs communication within the District to include but not limited to community meetings, electronic and printed media with communication from the electorate to fully develop District priorities.
  2. Continue refinement of a performance and market driven compensation plan for all certified staff which will promote improved performance and student achievement with review annually including staff feedback.
  3. Implement Board of Education approved enhancements as developed by staff to curriculum at all grade levels to increase student achievement and growth.
  4. Develop a communication plan to support a culture change within the District to foster total communication at all levels and support parental involvement in our schools.
