On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, some juniors and seniors attended UW-Washington County in West Bend. The students who attended expressed interest in attending a two year college after high school. Upon arriving, students were introduced to Angela Rintelman, student affairs coordinator. After the students toured the campus which included stops in the cafeteria, gym, ceramic art studio, theater, and book store, Angela kept the students engaged in an interactive presentation. Students learned about the various programs offered at UW-Washington County, costs associated with attending college, differences between a two year school and a technical college among many other interesting facts. For example, did you know that tuition at UW-Washington County is the lowest tuition in the entire UW System? It was a beautiful day which only highlighted an incredibly beautiful campus. The next scheduled college visits include the following: Moraine Park (FdL campus) on November 11, Fox Valley Tech (Appleton campus) on December 3, and UW-Fond du Lac (FdL) on December 16. Stay tuned for new college tours coming in Spring 2016.
